[Desire of a society willing to stay eternally blind]
What I think of the world? Well I see this lake ”
With people drowning, they are elderly, little kids, parents, humans
Around this lake I see us, watching the spectacle, not even a look
Or a thought should be given to them; help is way too much to ask.
After decades, media and politics managed to reach their aims,
They made us stop caring about others, they divided us
They made us their puppets,
That would make talk and think as they do.
They made us stop thinking that there are actually innocent civilians that are being murdered.
Where are those human rights our ancestors fought for?
Where are the liberties claimed for centuries?
Where’s peoples self-determination?
I guess it all took form, instead, in the material world we are selling our soul to.
Then how we dare call us human beings? Thinking for a second that
It could occur to our relatives, would make us angry within an instant.
But calling them, strangers make us so careless that we don’t care, nor want to care.
You may call me sensitive, and I plead guilty
Nevertheless this is not about a little girl losing her favorite doll,
They are actual people, being murdered I say again, and we see this torture
Through our damn open eyes, but still pretend like they are close.
