This is always a weird one for people to understand, but this guy is actually a big inspiration to me. I always get the you’re white thing, but I read his autobiography (the Alex Haley one) in 10th grade and it was a really captivating story. It went beyond race for me. It was a story of a boy doing everything in the world to fit in and trying to be accepted by a corrupt society that was never going to accept him because he was black. Then he finally understood and he said fuck it and decided to stop doing what society wanted because they were wrong. So instead he got on a podium and pointed out all the flaws and ignorance which helped him became the man he is known as. It’s interesting, so I recommend it.
